Claus grew up  in New Zealand and Denmark. With the influence of living in the Scandinavian design house, (Danish interior design) along with the use of timber construction in houses in New Zealand and stunning landscapes connecting the house to the site, Architecture was always going to be a passion for Claus. Lego also had a big part to play in this:-)

Claus has over 20 years experience having worked in London, New Zealand and Australia.

Throughout his career CLAUS EJLERTSEN has developed his unique and distinctive style through technical drawings /national and international experience and has a passion for detailing and producing high standard quality design services plans and documentation. He has vast experience project managing residential and commercial jobs from all stages from conception to completion for leading architect firms.     

Claus is passionate about producing aesthetic home designs that express individual clients personalities, as well as understanding the site to maximise the client's lifestyle in terms of views, light, space and natural surroundings.

Yalan (Graduate of Architecture)

Yalan commenced with BAAHOUSE & BAASTUDIO following completion of her Masters of Architecture at UQ in 2021. Yalan was drawn to architecture while travelling and observing how architectural landmarks influence the character and business prosperity of an area. She is inspired by the Chinese Architect I.M Pei. Some of his designs include the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris, the bank of China building in Hong Kong, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Yalan has experience working on commercial and residential projects, has strong technical detail and problem-solving skills, and speaks Mandarin and English. In her down time Yalan enjoys Lego and puzzles.

Yalda (Graduate of Architecture)

Yalda graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2011 with Masters of Architecture.

Creativity, problem solving and practicality in Architecture has driven her to this career. She has experience in institutional, educational and residential projects and she always get excited by seeing how people use and enjoy the spaces with all the projects she was involved with.  

Minimalism and Japanese Architecture is her inspiration.

Outside of work, Yalda plays soccer once a week, takes her son on adventure experiences, participates in short story writing classes and gives lots of treats to her dog.

Paris (Student of Architecture)

  • Currently studying Masters of Architecture

Paris pursued a career in architecture as she enjoys problem solving and design.

She is passionate about architecture that is environmentally and culturally responsible and therefore is interested in sustainable design that is climate specific with long term impacts.

Paris’s hobbies include photography, drawing and hiking.

Doris (Graduate of Architecture)

Doris brings with her a wealth of architectural work and study experience from mainland China and Hong Kong. Guided by a design ethos rooted in collaboration and creative exploration, she draws inspiration from cultural, artistic, and historical influences. Outside the office, Doris is keen in creative art projects and photography.

Beyond observing architecture through the lens of photography, she also uses various methods of painting to document architecture. She believes that architecture is alive, evolving with time and light.

Eryn (Graduate of Architecture)

Eryn started at BAAHOUSE AND BAASTUDIO following the completion of her Master of Architecture in 2023. Eryn was drawn to Architecture while travelling, exploring new spaces, and understanding the design and construction, noticing how Architecture and design can influence behaviour within a space.

Eryn enjoys the creativity and problem solving of Architecture and design and is excited to see how people use and enjoy the spaces of projects she has been involved in.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, puzzle solving, and going on adventures with her family.

Dulcie (Account Manager)

Dulcie has used her bookkeeping talents in many businesses ranging from education to law and civil construction.

Sharleen (Studio Administrator)

For the past 10 years Sharleen has worked in the vocational, education and training sector and now joins our team to assist with administration, coordination, and marketing operations.
